Authenticity

Verify Your Boutiq: How to Spot a Genuine Boutiq Switch

Counterfeit Boutiq pens are common in unregulated markets, and they’re often filled with untested oil. Before you use any Boutiq product, take two minutes to check it.

Send us the code under your scratch-off panel and our team will verify it by hand. While you wait, this guide walks you through the packaging and the device, shows the red flags of a fake, and tells you what to do if something looks wrong.

How to verify

  1. Check where you bought it.
  2. Inspect the packaging and labels.
  3. Check the scratch-off code and QR code.
  4. Compare the device with the real model.
  5. Send us your code to verify.

Why it matters

A Fake Isn’t Just a Knockoff

Genuine Boutiq products are licensed, regulated and filled with THCa Liquid Live Diamonds and cannabis-derived terpenes. Lookalike pens sold in smoke shops or by street sellers often contain untested, potentially harmful oil. They can look almost identical from the outside.

Your health is worth more than a cheap knockoff. If you’re not sure, don’t use it.

Untested oilCounterfeits skip the lab testing genuine products go through.
Copied packagingFakes copy the look, but small details usually give them away.
Reused codesCopied codes get checked over and over across fake packs.
Wrong sellersUnlicensed sellers are the most common source of fakes.

Red flags

Signs You May Have a Fake

  • A price that’s too good

Prices far below the official store are the most common sign of a counterfeit.

  • Scratched or missing code

The scratch-off panel was already scratched, is missing, or the code is printed without a panel.

  • A QR link you don’t recognize

The QR code opens an unfamiliar website, or the page says the code has been scanned many times.

  • Sloppy printing

Blurry text, faded colors, misspelled strain names or a wrong model name.

  • Missing details

No batch number, no lab-testing information or no strain types on the label.

  • The device feels off

Features missing for your model, a cheap plastic feel, or flavor that tastes burnt, harsh or chemical.

Questions

Verification FAQ

Where should I buy Boutiq products?

From the official Boutiq store or licensed retailers. Avoid street sellers, social media sellers and shops that can’t show they’re licensed.

How long does verification take?

Every code is checked by hand by our team, and we reply by email. Until you hear back, don’t use a product that failed any part of the checklist.

What does the scratch-off code do?

Each genuine product carries a code under a scratch-off panel. Scanning the QR code with your phone camera should open Boutiq’s official verification site. If it opens a page you don’t recognize, or says the code has already been checked many times, don’t use the product.

The code panel on my pack was already scratched. Is that bad?

Yes. A code that was revealed before you bought the product may have been copied. Contact us with photos before using it.

Does passing the checklist prove my product is real?

No. The checklist helps you catch the most common warning signs, but no visual check is perfect. Buying from the official store or a licensed retailer is the best protection.

I think I bought a fake. Can you help?

Yes. Stop using it and email photos of the packaging, code panel and device, plus where you bought it, to support@theboutiqswitch.com.
